Summary
This leaf (plate 76) was taken from Volume II (1897) of the series Les Maîtres de l'Affiche. The embossed stampe of the series is found in the lower right corner of the lithograph. The leaf was originally published in Rochester, N.Y. by the Peerless Co. in 1896 for George Humphrey's bookstore. The poster depicts an upper torso of a man in profile, hand to head reading, in a bookstore below ground with grating over the windows. Mark of artist is found.
