Summary
Vincent Figgins established a successful type foundry in London in 1792. Following his retirement in 1836, his sons, Vincent and James, continued the foundry, managing it together until 1860. This catalog includes: type metal, wood type, cuts, ornaments, and rule. It also includes examples of Persian, Sanskrit, Bengali, Coptic, Syriac, Hebrew, Greek, German, and Saxon type, as well as music type.

Summary
William H. Page established his own foundry for the manufacture of wood type in Norwich, Connecticut around 1856 and moved the plant to the Greenville suburb of Norwich around 1859 or 1859. The company continued to expand throughout the 1860s. In 1876, it was reorganized as William H. Page Wood Type Company. Summary
Stephenson, Blake and Company was active from the early 19th century until the 1990s as the last active type foundry in Britain. The type foundry was begun in Sheffield, South Yorkshire by William Garnett and John Stephenson, with financial backing from James Blake, in 1818. In 1819, the partners acquired the Caslon type foundry. After various changes in ownership, the company would operate as Stephenson, Blake & Co. from 1841-1905. In 1914, the business became a limited liability company styled Stephenson, Blake & Co. Ltd. "The H.C. Hansen Type Foundry was established by H. C. Hansen, who was born in Norway and immigrated to Boston, where he found employment with the Dickinson Type Foundry in 1868. After the 1872 fire at that foundry, Hansen decided to go into business for himself, implementing many efficiencies in practice. This catalog includes: type metal, equipment, presses, wood type, cuts, ornaments, and rule. The preface, signed H. C.
