Drawing signed "Clubb" at the bottom right corner. Depicts a man, labeled "Father Rochester," who looks on to a huge bell labeled "Bell Telephone Monopoly" propped up percariously on a stick that has been cut in the middle and tied to a string. The string is held by a hand off to the left of the scene, labeled "Rochester Telephone Corporation." Inside the bell, attached to a hook lying in place of the knocker, there is a parcel labeled "Independent Co. Bait," with papers attached to it reading "The People be Pleased," "Exorbitant Rates," and "Metered System."
