President Zachary Taylor letter to Major Nourse
Summary:
Letter from Louisville, Kentucky dated April 4th, 1825 as follows: Sir, I have the honour to enclose you for the consideration of the Comp. General of the Army, a copy of a letter from Capt. Brady on the subject of a furlough. Major Foster is now at Cincinatti and could relieve Capt. Brady on the service at that place providing the indulgence asked for could be granted, which I consider might be done without injury to the service. Major Froble has reported, and will be employed on the recruiting service at this place, until the number of recruits wanted for the 5th Infantry are enlisted.
