Letter from Springfield dated July 28, 1859 addressed to J and D Gillespie as follows: Gentlemen- Yours of the 25th is received. The judgement is rendered already, and is in the Mudge case. The case can not be taken to the Supreme court. it is not sufficient in ammount. A judgement in a U.S. Circuit court for less than $2000 can not be revised in the Supreme court. Yours truly, A. Lincoln. Also included is a photograph of Lincoln.
