The Hermann Zapf Collection, 1934 - 2015, contains over 47 linear feet of records that document Zapf's career as a type designer, typographer, calligrapher, author, and RIT professor. The collection contains original calligraphy, process work, proofs, type specimens, punches, and plates which showcase type design from sketch to printed page. The collection was compiled from donations made between 1983 and 2007.
