Summary:
This untitled stone carries a full set of capital letters followed by an ampersand and the letters PJ; the incised letters were painted and gilded. The style of the letter carving is Roman Inscriptional, based on the letters carved in the Trajan Column from Rome, first century AD.

The slate size is 50.5 x 68.5 cm. in a frame measuring 62 x 80 cm. It was purchased from Joshua Heller Rare Books, Inc., in 1991.
