This archive documents three original drawings for the typeface Univers that were transmitted to the Cary Graphic Arts Collection in 1989 when the typeface designer, Adrian Frutiger, was honored with the RIT Goudy Award for Typographic Excellence. The drawings were dated 1954, but the typeface was not released by its typefoundry, Deberny et Peignot, until 1957.
