Notes:
Gloss, matte, and embossed gold on brown, blue, dark blue green, olive green, or red cloth. Cf. Gullans & Espey. Gilt-stamped lettering at upper center of vertically oriented central field with increasingly thicker gilt-stamped undulate lines descending to bottom edge; central field is flanked on both sides by gilt-stamped crab at bottom with a flower rising the length of cover edge with surrounding stylized seashells along space next to stem; gilt-stamped single line ruled border surrounds entire cover design. Gilt-stamped lettering at upper half of spine with seaweed and seashell design along lower half. Gilt top. Solid dark red undecorated endpapers. Signed by Armstrong just to the left of lower right crab at bottom border.
