"Der Chor wurde in Jahre 1176 begonnen, hundert Jahre später wurde das Langhaus vollerwet. Der hier gezeigte Westbau wurde von Meister Erwin von Steinbach, 1318 begonnen. Ulrich von Eisingen baute 1399 den Nordturm, die hause errichtete de Kölner Meister Johan Hültz in Jahre 1439."
"Der mittlere Teil über der Rose ist ein späters Einschiebsel des Mittelalters und entspricht nicht dem Plane Erwin von Steinbachs."
"Diese Zeichung von Rudolf Koch wurde 1938 von Lisa Hampe und Fritz Kredel auf 6 Stöchen in Holz geschnitten. Die ist der erste von den Holzschneider selbst (?) Holzug. Mr. M. B. Cary (?). 21. II. 1939 —Fritz Kredel"

Translation: "The choir was begun in 1176, and a hundred years later the nave became fuller. The west building shown here was started by master Erwin von Steinbach, 1318. Ulrich von Eisingen built the North Tower in 1399, the house was built by the Cologne master Johan Hültz in 1439."
"The middle part above the rose [window] is a later insertion of the Middle Ages and does not correspond to the plan Erwin von Steinbach."
"This drawing by Rudolf Koch was cut in 1938 by Lisa Hampe and Fritz Kredel on 6 pieces in wood. This is the first of the woodcutters themselves (?) wooden (?). Mr. M. B. Cary (?). 21. February 1939 - Fritz Kredel"
