Summary:
"David Wolfe Bruce, son of George Bruce, took over management of the plant after the death of his father in 1866. This catalog includes type, cuts, ornaments (including an especially extensive set of borders), and rule. The introduction to the new edition, dated January 2, 1882, notes that the foundry's own setting of De Vinne's "Invention of Printing" has been bound in the volume to showcase its Roman types; this section has some printing in other colors. Printed on outside of double leaves unopened at top edge. Also includes eight pages of German type (204-211), as well as several samples with texts in French, German, Italian, Latin, and Spanish"
—Annenberg, M. "Type Foundries of America and Their Catalogs," pages 83, 267.
